Wedding at Bentley’s on the Bay in Santa Rosa Beach, Fl.

Jesse and Jerry are Married!

June 27, 2010

Santa Rosa Beach, Fl

Venue: Bentley’s on the Bay

Flowers By: Jesse Madaris

Jesse and Jerry fell in love in high school and I just find it amazing that even after seven years together they are still so in love and can’t seem to get enough of each other.  It was a perfect day to get married outside on the Bay. The sky was a beautiful blue and the bride couldn’t have been more gorgeous! They were married by both of their mother’s as the sunset over the bay, which I find incredibly sweet. Jesse also did all her own flower arrangements and bouquets, which came out AMAZING!!!

A Mother, Daughter Portrait Session.

Kendra and Baby Harper

Helena, Al

Kendra wanted to do something special for her husband’s birthday and scheduled a mother, daughter session with her 4 month old baby girl. We had orignally wanted to do the session out at a park, but the weather had other ideas. In the end we had to do the session indoors and it turned out fabulous!! Kendra and Harper were both so photogenic and I had so much fun spending time with them and getting to know this sweet family. You could see the love shining through each picture I took of them. I really think her husband is going to be surprised with these beautiful photo’s of his wife and daughter.

Little Charmer! Luke is 7 months and a little Stud!

Luke Jackson

7 months

Botanical Gardens

Birmingham, Al

Luke is such a little charmer! He had me with his first little grin and drool running down his cute little chin. His parents Sara and Ben are just two very lovely people and I was so honored when they asked me to take pictures of their little baby boy. We had so much taking these photo’s and getting Luke to laugh at his Mommy and Daddy!  I’m pretty sure my favorite picture is the one with the jacket!

Kelsey’s Beautiful Bridal Portraits!

Kelsey’s Bridal Portaits

Birmingham, Alabama

Botanical Gardens

Dress is from the Something Blue Shop in Hartselle, Alabama

I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally post these! Kelsey is such a beautiful and sweet woman and looked fabulous for her Bridal Portaits!! She is a school teacher from the Birmingham Area and was such a trooper for this shoot. The humidity had to be about 100% and it felt like it was over 100 degree’s outside and then we would have bouts of rain every fifteen minutes. Between Kelsey’s Mom, Myself and My wonderful second photographer Juli we tried to keep Kelsey as cool and dry as possible and in the process we got some amazing images of Kelsey!! I must say her now husband Trey is very lucky man!

Let’s Run for Cancer!!

Its Marathon Time! Well at least a year from now in Disney World!!! This will be my second marathon and I have a few people joining me this time. My little brother (who’s not so little anymore) will be running the full marathon with me and I have recruited my parents to run the half marathon.  I’m still working on recruiting my husband. Right now he wants to help cheer us on. :)

My first marathon was in January of 2005 at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. I ran with a group called Team in Training and we raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It was one of the most incredible experiences in my life to know that I was not only running 26.2 miles, but I was helping to save lives. This year I haven’t signed on with a group yet, but I want to make a donation and raise money for a cancer society.

The backstory behind why I choose to run for cancer starts a long time ago when I was ten years old. My grandfather was diagnosed with lung cancer in his early sixties. It was devastating news to the whole family. He was part of the glue that held everyone together and  was the main provider for his family. After his diagnosis, he tried treatment after treatment, but the cancer continued to spread. When he died, I can honestly say it was the saddest day of my life. He was a such a strong, courageous,  wonderful man. It was unbelievably heartbreaking and I being only ten years old at the time had my heart broken for the first time. I think with the advances in technology everyday that people like my grandfather can beat cancer. Today I remember all the great things about this man. My grandfather built a successful 60 acre farm and a four bedroom house with his bare hands. He was a hard worker , but still took the time to take to pick berries and search for arrowheads. He used to tell me all these wild tales about our ancestors that I believed for many years to come. I still believe I am an indian princess to this day! :) My grandfather  still motivates me in so many ways, so to honor  him I RUN to find a cure!
